Hello fellow writers,
Here is the link to an agent query website http://www.agentquery.com/default.aspx. It is a large fully searchable database of agents and includes contact information, what types of work they represent and whether they are currently accepting unsolicited queries. Most agents also have a short list of books they have represented in the past which is helpful for drafting an introduction for query letters. In order to get the best use out of the site, you may have to register, but it is completely free. Hope you find it as helpful as I did.
God Bless,
-Tara

I’m working on a nonfiction book for moms. Wise moms love their children by helping them grow up balanced and strong, equipped to live on their own. My book centers around ways a mom can develop inner strength within herself and her children. This collection of short, punchy pieces features principles rather than how-tos. The reader will find encouragement and a solid base of faith, tied up with common sense and time-tested wisdom.

I published the first two books in the Blake Sisters Lake Tahoe Adventure Series: When the Birdies Came to Tea and Mr. Snowman Ate Our Picnic Lunch
Illustrated by Donna Plant.
Our 3rd book ~ Nana's Tin of Buttons, comes out on May 1st
The 4th book, Bear Cub Adventure, is out on October 1st, 2011.
My fiction novel goes to NYC next week and I have sent in to Wendy Lawton, hoping she will consider presenting me. This in relation to the October 2010 Auburn conference.

My middle-grade novel is complete. I originally queried Writer's House in hopes of getting an agent. They asked to see the full manuscript. I returned it. I next sent a book proposal to Cheryl Klein at Arthur A. Levine Books. They rejected it. I attended a SCBWI conference where three publishing houses were represented. At present my synopsis and first two chapters are at Lerner, the first of the three houses. If rejected it will go to Candlewick then to Tricycle Press. I may try again for an agent. Meanwhile I am doing PR for The Year of Jubilee for my church.

I believe in the unity of all believers, (The whole church) therefore my writing centers on the principles of the infallible Word of God and do not favor one denomination over another. My writing is centered in bringing honor and glory to God and help people in their personal journey to know and love God with their heart and soul. Marlys's books include God Moves Mountains, Defining Moments, Short Stories for the Family and her book, Recipes for a Happier Marriage

My time is divided between two writing projects. Both novels are finished. April’s story is in editing and rewrites. The cowboy story was published on December 17th, in time for Christmas giving. Plot lines for four new novels are churning.

I am editing/revising Where Freedom Lies for the seventh time.
