From My Heart by Lori Hartin
A few years ago, during a transitional time in my life, I receive a card with a beautiful ladybug on the front. At the time, it didn’t seem very special, but as the first year passed, it occurred to me how appropriate this card really was.
Consider the popular nursery rhyme. Ladybird, ladybird, fly away...Flying away…from that time in my life and being open to God’s prompting has been amazing. It’s been so interesting to watch how God has used such an adorable creature of nature to provide the inspiration to start a new chapter of ministry in my life and to see where he will allow me to fly away. Ladybugs are tiny, but they serve such an important purpose in the cycle of nature.
I want every woman to know that even though she may feel tiny and unnoticed, she, just like the ladybug, plays an important role in God’s plan for those around her. People are admiring her from afar as she goes about her daily business. No job, no service, no contribution is useless! The meaningless becomes meaningful when she commits her plans to the Lord and His garden. As you go about your business and your day, know that someone is admiring you from afar. Your work has eternal effects. You are making the difference in the life of someone!

Lori Hartin currently serves as the Business Administrator for her local home church, where she has attended since 2002. Mother of three sons, Lori and her husband, William, have been raising a blended family for almost ten years
She plans to launch her own non-profit ministry in 2010 to reach and encourage women by reminding them of the promises of Christ. She enjoys writing and speaking, and finds that everyday life provides plenty of subject matter.
